Jan Kees de Jager appointed as new CFO
Today, Royal KPN N.V. (“KPN”) hosted an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders where KPN shareholders were informed on the intention of the Supervisory Board to appoint Mr Jan Kees de Jager to KPN’s Board of Management.
Subsequently, KPN’s Supervisory Board formally appointed Jan Kees de Jager to the Board of Management of KPN.
In the period 2007-2012, Mr Jan Kees de Jager (45) was a member of the Dutch Cabinet, firstly as State Secretary for Finance (2007-2010), thereafter as Minister of Finance (2010-2012). In the period 1992-2007 and in the period between his resignation from the Cabinet and his appointment with KPN Mr de Jager held a leading position at ISM eCompany, an eBusiness solutions company, which he co-founded.
Mr Steven van Schilfgaarde will continue in his role as interim CFO until 1 November 2014 after which Mr de Jager will assume responsibility as CFO within the Board of Management of KPN.
