KPN and trade unions reach agreement on collective labor agreement for 2020 and 2021

KPN and the trade unions are in accord regarding a new collective labor agreement (CAO). Part of the CAO is a collective salary increase of 2.5% from 1 July 2020 and a collective salary increase of 3% from 1 July 2021. In addition, the current pension scheme will continue virtually unchanged, employees will get an extra day holiday, and new agreements have been made regarding the flexibility of employees. This enables KPN to be an agile and efficient organization that can provide help to its customers as much as possible at the moments they want it.

Hilde Garssen, Chief People Officer: “I am happy that we’ve concluded a new CAO for the next two years. The negotiations were conducted in a pleasant and constructive atmosphere. We have reached a balanced agreement that reflects the different wishes and interests of our employees and of KPN.”

The unions will now present the results of the negotiations to their members. If the outcome is positive, the new CAO will be registered with the Ministry of Social Affairs & Employment. The new KPN CAO will then take effect retroactively from 1 January 2020 and will run until 31 December 2021.
